The skies above the Big Easy seem less trafficked by the unexplained compared to other parts of the country. According to the National UFO Reporting Center, the New Orleans metro area saw only 23 UFO sightings per 100,000 residents between 2000 and 2023. This falls short of the national average of 34.3 sightings for the same period.
